Continuing Professional Development in 2021 with Martin Thody

2020 certainly delivered its own curveball challenges on many working fronts and trying to do Continuing Professional Development (CPD) from the bedroom or kitchen table was certainly "interesting".  In this podcast, I am joined by Martin Thody, who is the CIEHF CPD lead, to talk about what CPD looked like last year and what we can learn from it in 2021. Martin is no stranger to the podcast, and in the back catalogue there are other episodes where you can find out more about his background.  This podcast aims to kick of the 2021 series with good habits and useful discussion.  Having said that, apologies for the sound quality of my side of the interview, clearly I didn't have the setup quite right in the office.

CPD – Tips for 2020 with Julia Clarke and Martin Thody

This podcast is timed to coincide with the start of the CPD year and brings together two experts in CPD who are also involved with the CPD assessment process for the CIEHF. Martin Thody returns to bring his experience and is joined by Julia Clarke and brings her experience from the health sector where good quality CPD is not only a nice to have but a necessity for progression.   This podcast is not the official opinion of the CIEHF and is only the opinion of the participants. Julia mentions Gibbs reflective model, an overview of that can be found here: https://www.mindtools.com/pages/article/reflective-cycle.htm
